Washing instructions for decorated glass
These hight-quality glasses with decorations by the Sahm company will retain their sparkling glitter if you observe the following instructions.
Manual washing:
• Wash glasses in a special glass detergent in water whose minimum temperature is 45 °C.
• After washing, first rinse the glasses with warm water and then with cold water.
• Place clean glasses on a drying rack, turning their cups down, and let them dry.
• Glasses should not be dried with any dish-towels as those are never perfectly free of grease.
Recommendation: do not apply mechanical cleaning to wash the glasses (i.e. do not use brushes that put extra wear on decorations).
Professional glasswashing machines:
• Do not wash decorated glasses in household-designed dish-washers.
• Place the glasses into the basket ensuring that their mechanical strain will be avoided (impact scratches,
close contact).
• Decorated glasses cannot be washed together with other table ware or silver ware.
• Water must be up to 5°d hard.
• Washing temperature should not exceed 60 °C. ( DIN 10511).
• Use only those detergents and rinsing agents that are suitable for decorated glass.
• The maximum recommended washing time is 150 seconds. After rinsing, remove the glasses from the dish washer and let them dry to reach a fine glitter. Never try to dry them by any means.
• Do not cool warm glasses with water whose temperature is less than 15 °C. Please follow these recommendations from the dish-washers manufacturer.
